Matt Słodziak

Hi there! I'm a multimedia writer and tabletop game designer with over a decade of experience managing successful creative and technical projects in and around the entertainment industry.

About Me

Hi, I’m Matt Slodziak - project coordinator by day, creative writer and tabletop designer by night.

I was lucky enough to grow up in a household with a strong oral tradition in storytelling, and fortunate to have parents who not only exposed me to all sorts of books and films, but who also actively encouraged my natural predisposition toward writing.  Thanks to them and a number of other instrumental people I’ve met along the way, I’ve been able to preserve and foster the vivid imagination and voracious reading habits of my youth, and channel those creative energies into countless projects and experiences.

From lighting and camera for commercials, music videos, short films, and micro-features, to climbing the ranks of story development from story analyst to junior creative exec, I’ve worked tirelessly to cultivate a deep reverence and understanding of visual and written storytelling over the last decade.

With a firm grasp of the narrative design process and a proven track record of leading teams from conceptualization to completion, I pride myself on my ability to collaborate with others and successfully execute on our collective or personal visions.

Today, in my free time I serve as the creative lead for a small, ad hoc team of writers and designers; together, we’re busy at work developing self-published 3rd party content for some of the biggest names in tabletop – including Dungeons & Dragons from Hasbro’s Wizards of the Coast and Daggerheart by Critical Role’s Darrington Press.

With exciting upcoming releases like two new, full-fledged character classes, a couple of adventure books, and an original anthology comic book series in the works, I’ve never been busier and more inspired!

Stay tuned for more updates as we get ready to share our work with the public, and drop me a line if you’d like to collaborate or hire a dedicated writer and designer yourself!

In the meantime, please feel free to check out my recently published, original homebrew for Dungeons & Dragons, available over on D&D Beyond.
